Below is a selection of photographs that we have received. All of the photographs, regardless of quality, give us very useful information about the individual hares. We welcome images from cameras, mobile phones, video - whatever is at hand!

All hares photographed will be published on this site. If you have submitted photographs that have not yet appeared below, they soon will - thank you for your patience.

Please get in touch if you have seen a white hare in your area this year. Although white hares are usually considered rare, there was an unprecedented number of sightings in 2011 (2011 results soon). We are repeating the survey again this year to provide further data on the white Irish hare phenomenon. Please send your sighting, along with your name*, date and nearest town or village, to
whiteharesurvey@irishhare.org
Please attach a photograph** if you have one.
